Local road closure

A43 Lumbertubs / Weston Favell - Roadwork information

UPDATE 21st April 2020: The A43 slip road is now open, however the underpass back on to the A43 remains closed until Northamptonshire Highways can return to complete the works.

You may already be aware of the planned road closure on the A43 slip road, but please see below for the full details from Northamptonshire Highways :

Works – Repairs to northbound Underpass

Start Date – Monday 15th March 2020

Completion  – Friday 3rd May 2020

Traffic Management – Lane and road closures

Hours of Work – 24 hours

What are we doing?

Following on from the vegetation clearance during February, we will be undertaking repair works to the underpass at Weston Favell.

During these works, the underpass to go northbound on the A43 Lumbertubs Way and the southbound exit slip onto Weston Favell will be closed 24 hours a day for the full duration of the works. There will also be 24-hour lane closures on the A43 Lumbertubs Way between A43 / A45 roundabout at Riverside and St. Gregory’s Road Roundabout.

When programming works, we consider the impact on all road users and plan our works to minimise disruption. To maintain the health and safety of the workforce and the public the works will be carried out under a road closure with a diversion route in place.

We do understand that road closures are inconvenient but works can only be completed safely and efficiently with them in place. We hope any inconvenience can be tolerated for the duration of the works.

Traffic Management

Diversion routes will be in place at all times. Please see below for diversion route maps. The red lines show the road closure and the blue lines are the diversion routes. Please refer to www.one.network

Information for residents and businesses

Access: Due to the work activities, all access will be maintained through the diversion routes. No access will be allowed through the road closures.
